Oracle says it's going to acquire certain assets of HyperRoll, a developer of financial reporting acceleration software in Mountain View, California.

HyperRoll's software analyzes large quantities of financial data. Its customer base is largely retail and financial accounts.

Oracle said the widgetry would let its customers report results quicker, with more confidence and lower compliance costs.

Terms were not disclosed. Oracle expects the deal to close this year.

HyperRoll investors include Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Sequoia Partners, Israeli VCs Vertex and Microdent as well as Hyperion, the company Oracle bought two years ago. It raised at least $27.6 million.
